Frances Barrera
Frances graduated with a psychology degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Upon graduation, she served in various AmeriCorps programs, providing direct volunteer services to educational nonprofits and environmental agencies. With a passion for educating students, she began working at an educational nonprofit in Austin, Texas, where she first became acquainted with Salesforce. After 4 years as an end-user, Frances transferred from program management to IT. With no formal tech background, she learned (and continues to learn) her way around computer technology and tech support. Frances enrolled in Salesforce courses at Austin Community College and, in November 2019, became a Salesforce certified administrator. Frances hopes to blend her passions for teaching and Salesforce to bridge gaps and drive user adoption.
