Learning Flow

Learning Flow

This series will help you understand Salesforce Flow (Lightning Flow or Visual Workflow) aka Flow concepts in depth. Salesforce Flow allows you to automate business processes by building applications, known as Flows, that collect, update, edit, and create Salesforce information, and then make those flows available to the right users or systems. Flows can execute logic, interact with the Salesforce database, call Apex classes, and guide users through screens for collecting and updating data. When you use Salesforce Flow, the apps you build can guide users through complex processes and recommend the next steps. Salesforce Flow lets users cut through the data and get the results and answers they need. Companies that are using Salesforce Flow report seeing dramatic improvements in user adoption, collaboration, and productivity!

  1. Not sure if this is still active but worth a shot. Having trouble with an omni-channel flow. Goal is to route chats to agents depending on agent availability, skill, and capacity to the agent with the least chats and longest time since last chat.

  2. Hello sir,

    I have a scenario:
After entering account details,Create a button on that screen say Create Task,If pressed on that button take to next screen of task page else close the current screen if that button is not pressed.

    Thankyou.

  3. i have senario where from Case object i want to call a custom button that calls an action for api or eamil .
Can we achive it using flow??

  4. Hi, I have a question.
In regards to using scheduled flow. When I add records to a record collection variable and use it in a autolaunched
Is there any way I can extract the fields used in the collection to individual variables again?

  5. Hi Rakesh,
I was looking for an example for sending recurring email with flow/process builder. I have a date field(Term Start date) on a custom object and want to send email notification to the owner every 7 days starting from the Term start date until a checkbox field (PO Received) is checked. Can we achieve this with flow/process builder? Or is Apex scheduler the only option. Any help is appreciated.

  6. Rakesh – Sorry, I should have followed up. The issue was with a value not being defined in the Flow during the Create Record and it is working now. Thanks again for all of the wonderful examples.

  7. I built a Screen Flow to create a Lead and then run the Lead Assignment rules to get it routed if the Lead Owner is not specified in the Flow screen. Everything is working except for the Lead Assignment. I used the code you posted for Process Builder Part 49 to create the Apex Class and Test to run the Lead Assignments, and the last step in my Flow is an Action to call the Apex Class and pass it the Lead Id from the newly created record. No matter what I have tried, the Lead will not follow the assignment rules and just leaves the Lead Owner as the user who created the Lead. Suggestions?
Also, thank you for all the posts you have done as this has really help me learn Flow!
