You can’t deactivate user’s account immediately once He/She left the organization. sometimes we have requirement to deactivate user but but He/She selected in workflow email alert, custom hierarchy field or somewhere else in this case you need to perform some extra steps, maybe it takes few minutes to few hours but it may possible user can access your Salesforce org even he/she left the organization. So in Winter 14 release salesforce come up with a feature called “Freeze” users.
What is Freezing user’s Account?
It means temporarily suspend a user account, So He/She not able to access your Salesforce org once they left the organization and you need more time to deactivate user account.
How To Freeze User’s Account?
To freeze user’s account follow the below instruction:-
- Click on Name | Setup | Administration Setup |Manage Users | Users.
- Click the name of the user whose account you want to freeze.
- Click Freeze.
Only System Administrator or Users with “Manage Users” Permission can perform the action.
